On one of my computers, I noticed that it has WAY too many work units. Most, if not all, are well past their post deadlines. I cannot get any new work until these are all done and it could take forever. How could this have happened? It only happened on one of the two computers that I am using. Aborting each one individually will take an extremly long time. Aside from deleting, re-installing and re-attaching, is there any other way to abort/delete a large amt of work? I do have one work unit for "climateprediction" that isn't due until next year sometime that is already 700+ hours in. Thanks.

Which project is downloading a lot of work and for which BOINC version?

You can set your "connect to server" lower to not get as much work in the future.
Resetting the project will delete all current work for that project. Including those ready to report, so if you have any, Update the project first.
